perfection

A tool of perfection in the hands of the unskilled could never shine as bright.

A paintbrush could only create beautiful images in the hands of an artist. A chisel could only craft great form in the hands of a sculptor.

Can a tool compensate for a man's lack of skill? Does a man's ability and potential rely on tools given to him?

All men are born and raise with different gifts. Different forms of tools. Some of us are blessed with the gift of gab. Others are born sharp of wit. Others still grow to be strong and athletic.

No two men are alike. No two people work in exactly the same way. A unique fingerprint mix of talent and skill for every man.

Some excell in fields that others could only dream of. Award a man a tool to work with; still all he can achieve will only be determined by his own ability and strength of spirit.

A blunt knife could still cut as well in the hands of an able user. A sharpened knife merely makes the act that much more elegant.

As such, the tools we have are merely gifts to enhance and sharpen the abilities and skills we already have in our grasp. An extention; merely upgrades.

Much of what we've been given in our lives down here are merely tools to make life on earth more bearable.

Intelligence, charm, strength, endurance, riches, friends, family, love, hate, discipline, teachings, belief, toys, knowledge...And the list goes on and on.

All things in our lives are tools. Tools with a purpose. Tools that can help us if we put them to good use.

You may be an artist gifted with a brush or a sculptor blessed in the use of the chisel. When you are given the tools of your trade, you will shine bright as the sun.

But what happens when they swap brush and chisel? Would they be able to put these gifts to good use? Can these tools achieve their ultimate potentials in the wrong hands? Can their users reach the peak of their performances?

Had you been given a tool you know not its use, could you somehow learn to utilise it?
