Is love worth the tears?
Can pain become an addiction?
Are bonds worth the trust
If you know in time they're bound to rust?

Why lie and cheat?
Need truth be hidden or twist?
Must you know anything at all
When lies are lovelier than the truths you found?

When does compassion break?
Is there a time when love turns to hate?
The fine lines between lovers
Can also be the deepest of depressions.

Why keep on searching?
What motivates our constant seeking?
If all you need is God
Why's companionship so well sought out for?

As harrowing as life can be
Many of us cling to it.
Why is this so?
Is there beauty?

Or is fear the grounding factor?
Is love the source of life?
Without it will we die?
Must we live with a smile?

Could death with a grin be defiled?
Is there bravery in this world?
Where does cowardice lead to?
Is knowledge all that matters?

Does control give you happiness?
Find the strength to live
Yet even if you do, will you find bliss?
Every question's nightmare
