The Blind

The years jest Skipping swiftly Leaving a mess The human memory In the resulting din Of unnecessary chaos Hides the essential mean To bring guidance to the lost All it takes To set all aright Are well placed stakes Upon heavenly might Witnessing fate In its invisible working One step to take To inevitable waking Hearing words true chanel handbags Will in time shed light Amidst hint and clue Guidance shines bright Steps upon sand takes further Introspection dawns upon man Each observation makes clear The law that governs all that stand Darkness pales against moonlight Yet the opposite seems true The rewards of wrong and right Reflect this proof Clear as it seem Shining like the sun Ignorance hangs like a dream Blotting out truth divine The blind sees not Beyond the veil As he stumbles with thought Pummeled by worldly hail

Accountability

A person will call himself to account so that one day when he is sixty years old he will be counting his days and will find that they are twenty-one thousand and six-hundred in number. He lets out a scream and says: “Woe be to me, chanel handbags I will meet my Lord with twenty-one thousand sins. How will it be when there are thousands of sins in a day?!” Then he falls to the ground unconscious, and dies.

Thankfulness

And covet not a thing in which Allah hath made some of you excel others. Unto men a fortune from that which they have earned. (Envy not one another) but ask Allah of His bounty. Lo! Allah is ever Knower of all things - Al-Quran 4:32 In all fairness, none of us was created equal. To each person his/her own circumstance. The good and the bad that lay dormant in each of our persons may be clear as the brightness of daylight or as dim and unnoticeable as the swift transition of the day into twilight. Allah alone is the Knower of all things. Success and failure in our endeavors are a predetermined lot for each and every person. Blood, sweat and tears shed in the name of good or evil will reap its own reward. A fair share will be given to every man in its due time. No matter if plans fail or events proceed not as predicted. Fear not if disaster befalls or dark clouds overtake you. At the end of the day, what matters most is reason, not result. The why for every action is what elevates or degrades one person from another in the eyes of Allah. One who does good deeds in the name of fame is far different from one who does good for the sake of Allah or for the sake of others. A person may donate a million dollars from his multi-billion dollar share yet still be unable to match the kindness of a beggar who gives up his only loaf of bread to feed an orphan. And what is the difference between the two? A question worth reflecting. WE are all endowed with different degrees of material wealth and physical well-being. We can see around us if we scrutinize closely the society we are in. Be you among the poverty stricken or are you haunted by incurable illnesses? Are you socially stigmatized or trapped by the fashion of times? Envy not what others have which you have not. For envy and jealousy does aught more than simply hurt your heart and soul. In the temporary existence of this world, the distribution of good and bad in every person's life may appear to be imbalanced. Ever wondered why the life of another appears to be going so much smoother than yours? Or wished that your life were but a slight tad bit better than what it is now? Would that your life was blessed. How many times have you wished such? Riches. Wealth material or otherwise. Blessings of God that promise joy and satisfaction. How many of us yearn for them? How many among us have them? The real question we should be asking is, "How much of what I have do I deserve? And how much of what I have is a blessing?" More often than not, we are blind to the many blessings in our lives. The small infinitesimal signs of Allah's mercy that we so often fail to look out for. chanel handbags Much is there for us to be thankful for; if we but try to look out for it. Let not greed and envy overtake you. For such emotions will most definitely blind you. Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: Allah's Apostle said, "The thing I am afraid of most for your sake, is the worldly blessings which Allah will bring forth to you." It was said, "What are the blessings of this world?" The Prophet said,"The pleasures of the world." A man said," Can the good bring forth evil?" The Prophet kept quiet for awhile till we thought that he was being inspired divinely. Then he started removing the sweat from his forehead and said,"Where is the questioner?" That man said, "I(am present)." Abu Sa'id added: We thanked the man when the result(of his question) was such. The Prophet said... "Good never brings forth but good. This wealth(of the world) is(like) green and sweet(fruit), and all the vegetation which grows on the bank of a stream either kills the animal that eats too much of it, except the animal that eats the Khadira(a kind of vegetation). Such an animal eats till its stomach is full and then it faces the sun and starts ruminating and then it passes out dung and urine and goes to eat again. This worldly wealth is (like) sweet (fruit), and if a person earns it (the wealth) in a legal way and spends it properly, then it is an excellent helper, and whoever earns it in illegal way, he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied."

Logic and Religion

Living in a dream in search of awakening. Finding belief after belief seeking for support to lean upon. Have you found something to believe in? Walking blind with acceptance for a shield, he defends his beliefs from unnecessary questioning. "Stop!" Shouts he. "The mind cannot possibly comprehend the unseen and immaterial. So why bother trying? The supernatural is a realm of the heart and soul. Speak you of that which you know not?" Says he. Does he then reject questions that will leave his beliefs in the murky depths of doubt? Are religious faith and reasoning like oil and water? Do they not mix? Or dare he spin the blade which I cut him with back upon me? What could possibly save me from my own questions? Could my beliefs be shattered by rationales and logic? How can that be? "Speak you of that which you know not?" Says he. Believe you in that which you know naught of? You speak of heart and soul. You speak of truths and the unseen. You speak of senses that transcend mortality. You speak in riddles that confound in order to introduce me to a world profound. I wonder. How do you think with your heart and soul when you refuse to seize knowledge under a questioning hold? "Meditate. Raise your awareness. Wisdom will come to those who seek it." Says he. Are wisdom and knowledge one and the same? How frustrating. Question after question after question after question. Why do I keep asking for that which has no answer? Simple. It is because I know there is One who holds the answer to all things. And everytime I face the unknown, chanel handbags I seek a part of His presence within it. His Truth. His Wisdom. That which is hidden. Knowledge. Only the knowledgeable will know true fear. Only the knowledgeable will know true joy. And the greatest force of belief is the one backed by knowledge and logic.

Beauty Blind

Splashes of color
Upon the white winter
That runs icy chill
Blotting out human feels

The wonderland lived
By freedom's weave
Put in blatant sight
By reflections bright

Thrust in and drugged
Dulled by weights lugged
None could have noticed
How slipped away peace

Paleness is gone
Left the colorful morn
A multitude hues
From red all to blues

In the dreamy spray
Of butterfly splay
Forgotten is whiteness
That once marked pureness

That cold winter chill
Of emptiness' hill
Carpeted by grass
A heaven meant not to last

Run through the fields
Up and down hills
Lost in the joy
Of temporary ploy

Till comes darkness' end
In the grip of one hand
To rip you back
To the white winter black

Liar

Smoke streaming through
Past hands that cannot grasp
Would that I was you
Tiny little short lived wasp

I'd understand what you not see
That has screened you blind
Be what you may be
Breeding poison killing your kind

Sacrifice would you your own
For hurting my self
Drifting lost in smoke blown
Trying to lure me in stealth

Do you not fear the fire
Forewarned have you been
Yet you answer my calls in ire
Even after all that you've seen

Cease and desist
Time still is in your hands
Why continue to resist
Losing in smoking lands

There is no escape
But the way that's been shown
It hasn't been too late
Your soul has yet to be sown

I reach once more to you
My hopes and prayers made
That shown with light the road to truth
The smoke lifted in your soul's aid

Leave your ways
If evil intent
In the way of praise
And for all repent

Karma

Whatever good happens to you is from Allah; But whatever evil happens to you is from your (own) soul

- Al-Quran 4:79

Men say we get what we deserve. But to what degree does this truth extend?

Wallahua'llam.

People; Many people suffer. Live we in constant toil. That darkness robs us of our sight for goodness bestowed is a real danger.

Look you in times of darkness to the silver linings behind the clouds. In your distress search for the tiniest blessings in your life and be thankful for it.

Even in the worst of times God grants you His gifts. Such is the way of Allah; The Almighty; The Beneficent and Merciful.

Are you grateful?

Many are the complaints as well as improvements we wish could be made of our lives.

"Would that I was rich."

"If I only knew."

"Had I only been elsewhere."

"This cannot be happening."

"Why me?"

"If only I were dead."

"How long will this go on?"

And the list goes on. Questioning the Divine Decree and the fairness of God's choices.

Would that you saw His gifts to you.

The passing day and night, every breath that leaves you, every beat in your breast and every sight and sound you draw in.

Many are His gifts.

Yet all we see is suffering. For Man is born weak.

We make mistakes. We sin. With each step we take we taint the earth we step on. Of our own accord or by mistake. Darkening our lives with our mistakes just as how we darkened Hajjar Aswad with our constant kissing of it. How a stone white and pure as milk could turn ebony as night.

Rightly so it is that we have to pay for our mistakes. Can we say that the punishment befits not the crime? That we now suffer more than we should or deserve to?

Nay! For God is Kind and Fair. Wise. The world has He created with a harmony that runs smoother than clockwork.

Be thankful oh servant of God! Be not a pessimist or a disbeliever.

All ah gives you everything. Throw nothing. Cherish.

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so

- William Shakespeare

The Odd

The odd; always stands out in a crowd.

The strange; is most noticeable when coupled with the normal.

The extraordinary; far outshines all else when it is in sight.

Would you like to be odd?

Would you like to be strange?

Would you like to be extraordinary?

Is there a difference between the odd, the strange and the extraordinary?

Is a person born with a long tail odd, strange or extraordinary?

What about a man dressed as a clown?

Or a person with twelve toes?

Would you call a person who can lift a truck odd, strange or extraordinary?

What if a person was capable of flight without wings or machines? What would you call him then?

Can you actually be odd without being strange or extraordinary; or vice versa? Can you be one of them without being the other two?

Verily God loves the odd.

But really, what is odd? How do we judge it? How does God judge it?

He is Al-Badi(The Incomparable) and Al-Alim(The All-Knowing).

What do you think? Is there anyone among us now who is odd? Or are we all in one way or another odd ourselves?

Wallahua'llam

Heavenly Words

A phrase or two
Verses a dozen
Pictures glued
Upon scriptly heaven

Painted words
Lose not the touch
Gathered herds
In graceful march

Such greatness created
Language the form
Penned is all that's fated
Every rain and storm

Beauty wrapped
In whiteness and ink
With but imagination to trap
A world filled to the brink

Read! Says the angel
By God read!
Therein is the worlds
Knowledge buried in a seed

For purer still
The ink of a scholar
As to blood spilt
By a martyr in war

Chivalry in Islam

The root of chivalry is that the servant strive constantly for the sake of others. Chivalry is that you do not see yourself as superior to others. The one who has chivalry is the one who has no enemies. Chivalry is that you be an enemy of your own soul for the sake of your Lord. Chivalry is that you act justly without demanding justice for yourself. Chivalry is(having)...beautiful character

- Imam Al-Qushayri

The code of Chivalry of a Muslim elaborated by Imam Sulami in his "Kitab Al-Futuwwa" :-

That he brings joy to the lives of friends and meets their needs
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "When one brings joy with his words into the life of a believer or satisfies his worldly needs, whether small or large, it becomes an obligation upon Allah to offer him a servant on the Day of Judgement.

That he responds to cruelty with kindness, and does not punish an error
When a Companion asked if he should refuse to help a friend who had refused to help him before, the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said no.

That he does not find fault with his friends.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "if you start seeking faults in Muslims, you will cause dissent among them or you will at least start dissention." Dhu Al-Nun Al-Misri said, "Whoever looks at the faults of others is blind to his own faults. Whoever looks for his own faults cannot see the faults of others."

That he is relaxed and open hearted with his brothers.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "The believer is the one with whom one can be close. The one who is not close and to whom one cannot be close is of no use. The good among men are those from whom others profit."

That he is generous
The Messenger of Allah said, "Paradise is home of the generous."

That he keeps up old friendships
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "Allah approves the keeping of old friendships."

That he looks after his friends and his neighbours.
Ibn Zubayn said, "Someone who eats while his next-door nghbour is hungry is not a believer."

That he is lenient with his friends except in matters of religion.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "The first sign ofintelligence is to believe in Allah. Th next is to be lenient with people in affairs other than the abandoning of Truth."

That he permits his friends to use his possessions as if they were their own.
We know that the Prophet(s.a.w) used to use the property of Abu Bakr as if it were his own.

That he invites guests, offers food and is hospitable.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "How awful is a society that does not accept guests."

That he respects his friends and shows his respect for them.
A man entered the mosque and the Prophet (s.a.w) stood up for him out of respect. He protested and the Prophet replied that to be paid respect is te right of the believer.

That he is truthful
The Messengr of Allah (s.a.w) said, "Say that you believe in Allah, then always be truthful."

That he is satisfied with little for himself and wishes much for others.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said that Alah Most High said, "The ones who love each other for My sake deserve My love; the ones who give what comes to them in abundance deserve My love. The ones who frequent and viit each other for My sake deserve My love."

That he keeps his word and what is entrusted to him.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, If you have these four things, it does not matter even if you lose everything else in this world: protect what is entrusted to you, tell the truth, have a noble character and earn your income lawfully."

That he understands that what he truly keep is what he gives away.
Aisha (r.a) recounted that someone had presented the gift of a lamb to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w). He distributed the meat. Aisha (r.a) said, "Only the neck is left for us." The Prophet (s.a.w) replied, "No. All of it is left for us except the neck."

That he shares in the joy of his brothers.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "If a person who is fasting joins his brothers and they ask him to break his fast, he should break it." This refers to a non-obligatory fast, not the fasts of Ramadhan.

That he thinks little of himself or his good deeds.
The Prophet (s.a.w) was once asked,"What thing most attracts the anger of Allah?" He replied, "When one considers himlf d hi actions highly, and worse still, expects a return for his good deeds."

That he treats people as he would wish to be treated.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "As you wish to come to you, go to them."

That he concerns himself with his own affairs.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, "One of the signs of a good muslim is that he leaves everything that does not concern him.

That he seeks the company of the good and avoids the company of the bad.
Yahya Ibn Mu'ad Al-Razi said, "On the day when the trumpet is sounded, you will see how evil friends will run from each other and how good friends will turn toward each other. Allah Most High says, 'On that day, except for the true believers, friends will be enemies.'"

Family

Salman told Abu Ad-Darda', "Your Lord has a right on you, your soul has a right on you, and your family has a right on you; so you should give the rights of all those who has a right on you."

Abu Ad-Darda' came to the Prophet(pbuh) and narrated the whole story. The Prophet said,"Salman has spoken the truth."

- Hadith Al-Bukhari 3.189 - Abu Juhaifa

Living as you do within a family, all you say or do will have an impact upon them be it good or ill. As much as you have the right to treat yourself as you please, so do you have to take into account their rights to care for you as they see fit.

Judge not yourself independant or alone unless your parents have left you and your siblings lost to you beyond retrieving. The ties of blood cannot be broken by time or space.

We walk this life carrying the burdens of our own existence together with the responsibility of being part of a family. Thus have we been given a greater weight. Thus too have we been given a place to turn to to lighten the load of our lonely lives. Cherish it.

Your family is truly a gift. Forget them not.

Religion. Who to Believe.

What do you choose to believe?

How do you tell between truths and lies?

Many are the revelations of time and God. Just as many though are the fake prophecies of His creations. Of the two, which do you choose to believe?

Some of us trust only what our eyes see. Others are easily impressed by words. Who do you choose to listen to? What do you believe?

Of a truth it is that man is constantly exposed to truths and lies alike. By what do we judge the nature of a truth? The perceived nature of the world we live in ripples in silent change. Moving to and fro in the passing days and nights leaves us impressed in many ways. How do you walk a straight path upon a road riddled with so many junctions?

Always do we find reasons to question all that we see, hear and feel. Thus we fall back on other means than the heart of hearts to judge.

Do we truly know deep down inside? Is the truth clear to us?

The revelations we see, we doubt. And we seek other means of finding the truths of creation. Will we find it after a time or are we meant to forever be lost?

"Turn to guidance" says some of us.

"What guidance?" ask others.

In God I chose to believe. In the Almighty Creator I rest my trust. Doubt not have I in His revellations for no matter what questions I have, only He is the All-Knowing and All-Seeing. Only He holds the truth of all truths.

How do you tell a lie from a truth? God alone knows.

Hurts

It hurts to be human. It is human to hurt.

What is "hurt"?

Hurt:
1) to inflict phyical pain
2) to cause emotional pain o anguish
3) to suffer pain or grief
4) to cause damage or distress

A word synonymous with pain. It makes a person human to feel pain. Be that pain physical or emotional, it hurts just the same. Why is it human to hurt?

To hurt is a weakness. Feeling pain is a weakness. Being human means being born with a weakness. It is to be born human that makes us weak. Our only strength lies in what is known as our "Aqal". Our ability to think.

Hurting helps build the humanity in a person. Only in suffering does the human soul mature.

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be not forever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower
Grief not, rather find,
Strength in what remains behind,
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be,
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering,
In the faith that looks through death
In years that bring philosophic mind.

- William Wordsworth

It is human to hurt because it is human to be weak. And it is human to hurt because it is human to learn and grow. Pain marks change and the breaking of bounaries. It is the cost of wisdom and learning.

These are the reasons why life hurts so much.

The Earth

The land quakes in fear
Shivering beyond control
It feels the end of years
And how its bones now feel old

Days grow ever longer
As the sun skips to its youth
Growing ever shorter
The delay of impending doom

The skies twirl confusion
Clouds spun overturned
Raindrops not waiting their turn
Still man does not learn

The signs have shown
Written in woes
Their covers are blown
Yet concern they do not show

Chaos in its roots
Has begun to fester
With faces covered in soot
They burn on their desires

Upon sun baked land
Icy whiteness was glittered
Do you not understand
Have you not pondered

The world now trembles
Buying its time
Buried in battles
And endless crime

Candles of wisdom
Snuffed out one at a time
Fading to chrome
Arts no longer enshrined

All's lost
In that dying breed
Their lives their cost
When time ends their deed

The land in fear does quake
But why don't they?

Neurotic Thoughts

Between two moments can exist a million thoughts.

What are thoughts? What generates them? Do they have any physical signs of existence?

Electrical pulses within the brain generates information and coagulates them; storing memories and thoughts for later reference. A process ultimately named intelligence. Hardwired neurons transfer thoughts and communicate ideas in the brain. A complex circuitry much like the computer. How much of it is similar?

If the brain were as said to be a mere organic computer, would that not mean that thoughts function as per programs and softwares? Mere computations derived of electrical pulses.

Neurons bursting with energies tell our bodies how to react and what to think. How much control do we really have over what we think or do or even feel?

Millions of cells make up our earthen bodies. Do we really exert any control off these microorganisms or are they the ones really in control of what we do and how we think?

We are like kings ruling over a single country with millions of microorganisms at our bidding. Yet a king isn't always the lord of his followers. There have been tales of kings who were mere puppets set upon the throne as dolls to be controlled by their advisors and such.

Advisors who whispered ideas and suggestions. Ideas and suggestions that at the end of the day become known as the king's own.

Do neurons do that to us? Are our thoughts manifestations of millions of tiny little single-celled organisms?

Each mental picture we generate and every single brain activity recorded is set in motion by electrical pulses. Pulses made by different neurons. Neurons that react to conditions. Neurons that seem to know when to do what they do. Neurons that are perhaps independent of our control.

Picture these neurons as our advisors; flaring up to tell us when we're being hurt or tickled or caressed. Our main source of information and knowledge. What can we do without our neurons?

Can we possibly have any thoughts without them flaring up?

Are any of our thoughts really our own? Satan threatened to lure man away from the straight path through whispers of temptations from every side. Could he have meant the neurons and nervous systems of our body? Did he mean our thoughts?

Between two moments can exist millions of thoughts. How many of those are truly the thoughts of you as a sole spiritual being? How many of them are electrical pulses generated without your conscious consent by those neurons beyond your control?

Thoughts anyone?

God

There is no god, only Allah. As a muslim, man should worship non other but Allah. Worship no god, only Allah.

Who is Allah? What does He look like? What is He like?

Questions no muslim can answer. Things a muslim shouldn't bother pondering. Why not?

Simply because Allah is Allah. He is unlike any of the gods that men worship. He is different.

Allah is unlike any of His creations. He is perfect. He is beyond our imaginings and surpasses our meager knowledge. How can we expect to know Him?

We know of Allah what little He allows us to know. We know of Allah by the ninety-nine names He revealed to us as well as the twenty traits of Him that He allowed us to know. We know that Allah is omnipotent, was never begotten and does not beget children.

Allah is all powerful. Allah is mysterious. Allah is all knowing. Allah is all things great. Allah is like nothing we've seen or known. How can we hope to imagine even a glimpse of Allah when he is thus so otherworldly and great?

So who is Allah?

He is the God of muslims.

No. The God of man.

No. Stilll wrong.

Allah, is Allah. No other name for Him.

Allahu Akbar.

Freedom

Freedom of choice: God's greatest gift to mankind; the one attribute that sets him apart from all of God's other creations.

How does man recognise this freedom or know that it is really there? With the existence of things such as fate and destiny, how do we know that the choices we make are truly free?

Can we change destiny? Do we shape the future, or does it shape us? What's so good about freedom?

God alone knows.

If you're destined to die tomorrow, you will die tomorrow. No matter what you do, there is no changing that fact, correct?

So why try to do anything? Are we destined to commit ourselves to striving for freedom or can we choose to give that away?

What is this thing we call freedom of choice anyway? How does it set us apart from angels or satan?

What say have we over our lives? How much of what we do is executed out of our own true free will?

Temptations, dreams and wishes have always made themselves our general fuel to move. People all have their inner drives.

Does having desires eliminate freedom of choice?

Desires push you constantly in a single direction. Driving you to a single end much like how a road leads a car to a single direction.

So your choice is to either follow the road or break away from it.

Can you make that choice? Or perhaps you'll find yourself with absolutely no say in this at all.

Delving deep down within yourself, will you find that freedom? How does it feel to be truly free?

Perhaps true form of freedom exists in the form of indecision.

Indecision marks a lack of drive or biasness. The indecisive can make a choice either ways. More so than those who are driven. Then again, the indecisive are rarely able to make a quick choice. Always limited by their lack of will. Always stuck.

Is that freedom?

One way or another, we are boxed in. There always seems to be one factor or another that seems to influence our everyday decision.

Influence. That is the keyword, isn't it? Influences may exist but the choice is still yours to make.

You may stray off the beaten road but that would mean you have to walk through the underbrush. Ordeals may snag onto you and pull you down. It's up to you to choose to battle on or give in. You may have your freedom of choice, but that freedom is one with a limit. Stray too far and you'll find yourself in the lion's den.

Choice brings consequence. Freedom simply means you get to choose that consequence.

Rebirth

Within starlight and darkness
Spread upon the universe empty
Foggy future is written
The story of my lightless future

Hail to the Lord of the lands
By whose hand all things move
Through Thy word does life revolve
As does mine itself resolve

Missteps that litter the journey
Mark the trails of human err
Millenia that pass us by
Echoing upon the strings of bardic fares

Accosted as the mind is
Swimming against the maelstrom
I tire and wear
With the end within sight

Hail to the Lord of the skies
By whose hand all things move
With Thy blessings I will learn
In Thy allowance I forget

Sponging up timelessness
Reading in the passing seconds
Books of sand trickle by
Into the watery depths of soul benign

Affronted by trails unbuilt
The outlook of which unseen
Digging against mountains stone
Searching for truths engraved in bones

Hail to the Lord of the seas
By whose hand all things move
Only Thou knows my heart and soul
Thou who knows all and more

The ocean's beating is lost
The cradle of the wind forgot
No feelings ever understood
For rationale itself cannot itself be undo

All is itself for lost
Time unbending its lust for decay
Quelled is man's hunger
When curiosity floods in darkness

Hail to the Lord of life and death
By whose hand all things move
By Thy word all came to be
To Thee will all return

The soul received at peace or torment
Decided will be with written truths
Deeds and knowledge all that remains
Rebirth, all that's left to gain

The Gravedigger

Beyond the reach of the sun
Lies a world beyond reach of time
Pummeled by layers of dirt
A realm so small in girth

Dig dear friend dig
Unearth thy little world
Thy time hath come to open
The gates await another to enter

Upon sunbaked grounds thy stand
Within soaking rain thou work
With pick, spade and hoe
Thy wear but a passing woe

"Hail dear Lord
Thou believers doth await Thee
We come one by one
To Thy realm away from the sun

To the calling of the angel
Whose word doth death abide
Whose will is a testament
Of God's ultimate might"

Dig dear friend dig
Face Mecca Thou work will be
For another who waits reprieve
Whose time has come for worldly release

"To Him they will return
Once sentence hath been served
Timely whippings from angel fierce
Or kindly dotings from heavenly love

One by one they're prepared
For homes deep seven steps
My hands dirtied for a holy cause
The closing chapter of the soul's divorce

Goodbye dear servant of God
Thy time hath come to pass
I close thine ties to here onwards
Look back not to the past"

Work that is never-ending
Till all men have fallen through
A job few would like to do
But for a selected crew

Dirty as it may be
A cause it is most worthy
Thine work hides all disease
Under columns wide three feet

Mine thanks to thee dear friend
For when mine time is through
Mine grave thou dig for me
Here I come to life there-after

"Hail to Thee Lord Almighty
Thy blessings to the dead
May I be among them one day
Saved from Thy fiery hell

For time will come for me to go
When my job is through and gone
Another will be called to bury mine corpse
The gravedigger soul divulged"

Bound

Is my heart closed?

Why can't I move?

Have you bound me down?
