Change

The cause of all strife is change. Change is the result of time. Time cannot be without change. Thus there will be no life without change. This is simply due to the fact that life is an aftershadow of time. Life will definitely meet death as sure as the sun will rise. Clearly movement is inevitable. As unavoidable as change in a world where the nly constant is inconsistency. The finality of that world lies at the end of time. Time's end marks the end of fleeting change. As future, present and past melds together, chanel handbags the soul awakens. This is the final step. The destination of the mind. Predetermined, fated and achieved. The wild nature primal abates and is tamed by age. Its final form achieved. Blazing with glory, or smelting in regret.

Water

Water. Three quarters of the world is covered in it. A considerable portion of the human body is made up of it. The sky rains of it and tears are composed of it. It is the purest bringer of life. We drink it, bathe it, wash and clean using it and apply it to a thousand other everyday activities around us.

Water. We can't live without it.

H2O. A simple small molecule made of two different elements. Hydrogen and oxygen. What is so special about it? How did it first bring about life? How does it sustain life?

Do you not think it strange that such a simple compound consisting of only two different elements can be such an important figure in the generation of life and sustenance itself?

How much do we know of the true nature of water? Is there any other compound like it?

Water. A liquid that's one of a kind. A liquid with many strange surprises.

It is a liquid that clumps together. A substance that attracts itself and gathers together. This is due to the polar nature of water molecules. Water molecules are positively charged on one end and negatively charged on the other. If not for gravity, water droplets left on their own would form perfect spheres.

It is a universal solvent that is capable of dissolving more substances than any other liquid known to man. A trait which has made it a most effective substance for cleaning and washing.

Water, a substance capable of perfection, yet flawed due to the pull of earthly influence. A substance capable of purifying yet just as easily tainted. A most highly respected creation of God that has been so greatly blessed with gifts so easily overlooked. A weakly creation of God bestowed with greatness.

Man, God's creations made of earth blessed with the waters of heaven. When will we be thankful for it?

Simplicity Abstracted

Abstraction or simplicity; Which is closer to the truth?

All things bear a simple disposition that can be abstracted.

The complexity within the working mechanisms of all simple things is not something to be trifled with.

As you delve deeper into simplicity's web, you'll find that it is itself a complexity impossible to understand.

The readily accepted truth is always simple upon the forefront.

1 + 1 = 2

A simple equation.

The world is round. An undeniable fact.

The sky is blue. An obvious observation.

My name is Abdul Aziz. There is no point in denying that.

All these are facts apparent and easily digested at first glance.

But what happens when you abstract it and begin to question their validity?

Numbers are mere symbols. An equation a combination of symbols. A sentence.
1 + 1 = 2
If you chose 1 to represent a pair and 2 to represent a single object, then this equation would be wrong would it not?

Thus you would have to first identify what the numbers represent before you can first justify the sentence that this equation brings to bear.

Questioning that symbolism tat everyone has grown to accept as a given, is a form of abstraction. Is this something that can bring you closer to the truth?

AS for the shape of the world, long had it been assumed to be flat until the times of philosophers such as Pythagoras and Aristotle.

Earth-shaking as this discovery was, people slowly began to change their perspectives and belief as bit by bit the vacuum of outer space was unveiled and the elliptical nature of our planet is uncovered.

Abstraction most often changes perspectives. Enforces sometimes new beliefs. What was once readily believed was replaced with a new reality. How long before people stop and think and uncover a new reality to that very belief?

Had people been satisfied with the belief that the world was a flat surface and that the entire universe revolved around us, where would we be now?

Had the near circular nature of our planet not been accepted and believed, would the simple truth of the flatness of our world be a reality and a truth?

The reality of the blueness of our skies is undeniable. Or is it?

What happens when you put to question the existence of the sky? Is it even matter? Is it of any particular color at all? The only reason we see the blueness is due to the naturally greater refraction of blue rays among the seven rays of sunlight's color. Thus we detct the mere abundance of blue light around us.

An object is said to be of a particular color due to the fact that all other colors of the light's spectrum is absorbed except for that particular color we see the object in which the object reflects. But the sky, is it an object? Is it reflecting any of that color?

It refracts sunlight through the difference in density between our atmosphere and the vacuum of outer space. Thus it is not the color of the sky that we see but the bending of light that is observed. The sky is in truth made of colorless gases.

So is it colorless or is it blue?

And the name of a person. What makes one name right and another wrong? What is acceptable and what is not?

If a given name is disliked, can a person change it? Then who is to say one name is a truth and another a falsity?

There are many matters in whih we choose to simplify to avoid losing ourselves in the trails of abstraction. Is our hunt for truth really a wild goose chase?

Points of Views

Points of views. Everybody has one. Some are similar to a completely startling degree while others are as different as the sun and moon.

What is interesting and what is not?

Where lies the good and the bad?

What do you see?

What do they see?

What is there to see?

In a picture is painted a thousand words. In it a million emotions and just as many unwritten feelings. All you need do is find the right point of view. Is there a right point of view?

Can a movie be shot with only one camera angle?

There are times when we feel we are right. Times when we think we understand the whole picture clearly. With a million and one different ways to look at a single situation, how do you know that you're looking at it the correct way? You can't be sure that you've seen all the minute differences in viewing it. And you wish to say that you fully understand the situation?

Impossible!

Dare I say more? What is this point of view I bring up? Or is there even one? Do you see what I see?

There may be little to be plucked from this menial little entry but if you look at it the right way, there's probably something to be learnt. A hidden message perhaps.

All that needs to be done is for it to be seen the right way.

Humor

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he ears, however measured or far away

- Henry David Thoreau

We are all different. Different temperaments and variations in behaviors abound from person to person. Time and again philosophers have strived to classify our behaviors into archetypes to better understand our characters.

What are these temperaments? There's the Choleric, the Melancholic, the Sanguine and the Phlegmatic. Each experiences varying degrees of both positive as well as negative emotions.

Also known by the name of humors, the discovery of the temperaments theory was credited first and foremost to Hippocrates(460 - 370BC). Hippocrates believed that certain human behavioral tendencies could be attributed to bodily fluids he knew as humors.

Let us delve into these four temperaments in further detail.

The Sanguine:

The Sanguine represents the extrovert; the talker; and the optimist. Sanguines hold the temperament of "blood", the season of spring and the element of air.

A person prone to Sanguine personalitiy tends to experience an exceedingly high amount of positive emotions and less negative feelings. This group of people are generally optimistic, cheerful and even-tempered. A really fun-loving and popular bunch.

The Choleric:

The Choleric represents the extrovert; the doer; and the optimist. Cholerics hold the temperaments of 'yellow bile', the season of summer and the element of fire.

Choleric personality archetypes tend to be a driven and ambitious lot. They are a bunch prone to exceedingly high amounts of both positive and negative emotions. Though natural leaders, the Choleric is a very short-tempered person easy to anger.

The Melancholic:

Being an introvert; a thinker; and a pessimist, the Melancholic is characterized by 'black bile', the season of autumn and the element of earth.

The Melancholic dwells much on negative emotions, oft drowning out what little positive emotions they experience. They are a very depressing bunch often lost in their own contemplations. Creativity and poetry comes naturally to Melancholics though their perfectionistic nature more often than not leaves them dissatisfied with their creations.

The Phlegmatic:

Representatives of the introvert; the watcher; and the pessimist, the Phlegmatic soul's personality is tied closely to 'phlegm', the season of winter as well as the element of water.

Being calm and detached is part of the charm of the Phlegmatic. He experiences little negative as well as positive emotional input. Generally self-content and shy, the Phlegmatic may appear lazy and resistant to change, preferring a more stable, consistent and relaxed state.

Four temperaments, which are you most like?

A person may be most like one of the four humors or even turn out to be a mix of the different temperaments. But understanding your tendencies will give you a clearer picture of yourself.

What's your humor?

Find your temperament.

Reflections

In reality we're living as mere reflections.

Ever wondered why we're never satisfied with our lives? Or how empty it feels to be alive. Are we truly existing or are we hitching a ride on the lives of another?

Look in the mirrow. What do you see? Is that the true face of you? What is the true color of your essence?

We live our lives staring into the abyss of our meaningless actions through our everyday lives. What are we doing? Do we have any control over the things we do?

Actions that defy moral conscience; Sinful lives lived by every man that goes against the deeply ingrained wish to do good. Do we really want to do evil? Or is it really the wishes of another?

The many different things we do day in day out, none of them is ever done with good reason. All of it merely spurs of the passing moments.

In reality, we're all living as mere reflections.

Obsession

Obsession. It is a disease. One that the human mind falls into when it experiences an indescribable joy. To experience a constant longing for satisfaction that can never be sated. All you'd ask is for it to last.

Obsession. It is a disease. One that the human mind falls into when it experiences an indescribable pain. To feel an overwhelming sensation that burns deep into your soul. And all you can do is hunger for an end to it.

Obsession is an affliction for those who seek purpose. It becomes a purpose. It is an endless drive.

Obsession:
Function: noun
1: A persistent disturbing preoccupation with an unreasonable idea or feeling

2: Something that causes an obsession

Obsession.

Beauty

Beauty. Inner beauty. The loveliness of the soul/ The soft care and concerns as well as empathy of the heart. Noble notions of courage, valor, kindliness as well as strong moral values.

Outer beauty. The physical appeal that is most catchy to sight, sound as well as the touch. Soft skin, deep penetrating eyes, a gracefully sculpted body as well as a youthful appearance most deserving of praise.

One form is easily seen upon a person at a glance while the other calls for a clear sight and judgement not muddled by physical biasness. Only one of the two forces you to know the person thoroughly. Which is it?

By which of the two kinds of beauties do you pick your friends by? Need friendship be determined by the beauty of a person? Wherein lies the beauty of the truly beautiful?

Perhaps only in the moments in between in the heart of time. What can be more beautiful than a moment captured in time? What can be more beautiful than what you feel?

Love; Joy; Worry; Kinship and honesty. Perhaps what's more beautiful than things which can be seen(outer beauty) or understood(inner beauty)- is the beauty which we feel.

Many a time when we are enjoying ourselves, we forget all our troubles and all things appear that much more beautiful to us wthen. Elation is a strange phenomenon beyond description. It is neither visible nor understandable. Yet it is among the most beautiful of things we can ever find in our posession.

Sadness too is a beauty of its own unparalelled stature. It brings with it images of tears, rain and loss. It is more moving than any simple supermodel on a runway and deeper than any make up one could possibly wear. Sorrow, painful as iut may be, is still a beauty beyond imagination.

Righteous anger, is another experience beyond descript. It is an emotion that could overturn worlds and impress even the worse of enemies you may have. When your blood boils with it and passion burns in your eyes, none could deny your presence and attraction.

Emotional beauty. It is something that surpasses all that can be worn, seen or heard. It is an overflowing torrent of unexplainable urge. An urge to laugh; to cry; to scream and so on. Feelings. That's what it is.

"Why is it beautiful?" you may ask. Why is happiness such a beautiful thing? What is so great about being sad? Is there anything at all worth praising in anger? To answer these questions, you must first be aware of what true beauty is as well as what it does.

Do you know what true beauty really is? As you slowly digest what's been written here, have you been able to grasp the vage picture of what the essence of beauty really is?

Listen

Upon the wings of a zephyr
Rides the wisdom of the ages
Written with the ink of time
Dried in the light of the setting sun

Feel the echoes of the past
Hear of knowledge carved to last
Reverberating upon the trailing winds
The loud cries of eternity

Recorded upon the measured breeze
Slow down your search for release
Read the measured breaths of the day
Harken the laughter of the winds at play

The news of the present day
Gossips of weeks gone by
Tales of future on-coming
Riding upon the wind

All that need be done
Is but for man to listen

The Important And The Not

Protein: A word whose etymology leads back to the ancient Greek word "Prota".

"Prota" meaning "of primary importance".

They are the builders and catalysts. The movers and shakers of the realm of evolution. The pillars of the roof of life.

Proteins are the drones born from genes. They are responsible for reading and acting out the scripts of life written and mapped out within the long chains of genes.

Are proteins important in the building of life?

Are they of prime importance?

Can they still function without the instructions of DNA and genes?

If something of primary importance is reliant upon something else- as is the case for proteins- is it still the prime determining factor?

Or does it become secondary in nature?

Lies.

How do you differentiate truth from lies?

A lie is an untruthful statement made to someone else with the intention to deceive. To lie is to say something one believes to be false with the intention that it be taken for the truth by someone else. - taken from www.Wikipedia.org

They say you could tell when someone is lying to you. Be it shifty eyes, a fake smile, limited hand gestures and other such things.

How true is that?

Common perceived signs of deception include:

-Lack of physical expressions with limb movements that tend to be close to the body and consuming less space

-Avoidance of eye contact

-Hands touching the face, throat and mouth repeatedly. Not to mention constant scratching of the nose or behind the ear

-Gestures/expressions that contradict what's been said

-Delayed and unnatural emotional reactions

-Using humor or sarcasm to avoid a subject

Can any of these signs be used?

Does lying invoke so much discomfort?

Perhaps not for all of us. So how do you tell when someone's lying to you?

How do you find the truth?

Tagged....

The "tagged" game...

Rules Of The Game:

1. Post 5 weird / random stuff about yourself.
2. At the end, list the names of 5 people whom you want next to do this, and leave a comment " YOU ARE TAGGED" in their blog and tell them to read your blog for rules.

Normally I'd just ignore this litte game and get on with my life, but since it's a special request...I'll do it.

First random fact of the day:

I am made of star-dust. Yes. I am a being of the stars. I'd explain it all to you, but I'd rather leave that for another entry. Do ask if you really want to know what I mean by that.

Random fact number two:

I may be human, but I'm a gnome at heart. I like the strange, I feel small, I smile and talk more than I really need to, and when I talk, people don't always catch what I mean. It's all a jumble. Yes. I'm a gnome.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Third fact of the day:

I only look good when noone's looking at me. Or at least when I think nobody's looking. When you observe, that's when I transform. Turn into either
1. Someone quiet,
2. Someone nasty,
3. Someone weird or
4. Someone shy

So don't look at me.

Fourth thing you probably don't know:

I don't do well as a leader. I follow, I suggest, I ponder. But I can never lead. I just don't like deciding the fates of others. The burden is unsettling.

Fifth and foremost:

My thigh is itching right now. Some of that stardust must be falling off. Darn.

Now, For the second half of this entry. Who i expect to see doing this.
1. Qeenzie
2. Shady
3. Qis
4. Fadh
5. hmmmm...*shrugs* can't think up the fifth. Don't know that many bloggers i guess.

Me?....

SteelWings

You have wings of STEEL.

No one's really
sure why, but at this point in your life you've
shut off emotion to the point of extreme
apathy. You are cold and indifferent much of
the time...or perhaps you're just a good
pretender. Next to impossible to get close to,
even those who do never see the real you. It's
entirely possible that YOU don't even know the
real you. You have a certain fascination or
attraction to destruction on a massive scale -
disasters, perhaps even death or the concept of
the Apocalypse. Because you hold so much
inside, one day you're simply going to snap.
Then the mask will fall away, and your true
wings will be revealed. Until then you will
deal with whatever comes your way in icy bitter
silence and acceptance. On the positive side,
you are fearless and immeasurably strong - not
much can crack through your defenses. You
intrigue people, who can't help but wonder why
you're the way you are. A loner and one who
spends much of their time brooding and
contemplating life and death - you are a time
bomb waiting to explode and create some
destruction of your own.
