Harm

Harm. Wherein lies the root of it? What hurts a man? What hurts a woman? What hurts you?

The definition of pain: Punishment.

What is it? What is the spark of it? Is it an ecstacy or a tearful cry for equilibium?

Pain, a necessity of change. No growth could amount to greatness without crashing into a form of destruction or another. The brighter the flames that burn, of greater volume will the ashes of change be.

Thus, pain is a goodness? Harm is good? No. That cannot be right. Harm is detrimental to the overall health and well-being. How could such negativity be a good?

Harm equals an end result to an action. A sword wound is harm to the human body. An exploded building foundation is harm to the structue. An oil spill harm to the environment.

That which is harmful ultimately weakens a person o entity. A cut on the arm renders it powerless. A battered foundation sends a building crumbling. An oil spill kills coral reefs and tears the ocean apart.

In other words, harm ultimately leads to destruction.

Is harm a necessity? Why do we hurt? Why must there be pain?

Picture perfection,. A world wherein all things retain their invulnerability to physical harm.

Imagine an invincible body immune to disease and hurts. What a blessing would that be?!

Free from pain, suffering and physical pain. Such freedom would be a blessing indeed, wouldn't it?

Such an existence would lead to a life without pain. A life without fear. No fear of death, hurts or suffering.

What would life be like without these sharp, burning jolts of pain or dull throbbing aches? If the punch of a bullet couldn't pierce your skin and the bang of a hammer send no bursts of pain to your body, what would you feel?

How would you like to be the man of steel?

Such a possibility leaves much room for the imagination does it not? No more limitations.

With the removal of the chance for harm and pain, so too are restrictions erased. No feelings, no fear, no weakness.

What kind of world would we live in if everyone was born invincible? Imagine.

Is harm an ultimate necessity? Should we celebrate its existence or loath its being here?

Try to picture what you would have become had you not experienced a single pain or loss in all your life. Would you be the way you are now? Or would you be somewhat different?

Do scars make you who you are or do they only break you apart from the person that you need to be?
