The Lonely Beach

The sea beckons A beat upon the sands Spray after spray Foams dancing upon the waves The waters stretch on Chasing the horizon Endless is the deep An effervescent pit of dreams Calmness roils in its face Distant shores calling A promise with each whisper Peace pronounced in silent thunder Dressed in the sunlight Sparkles the folds of distant waves It quavers solid Constantly singing to nobody Birds chatter to the trees Leaves rustling in the wind louis vuitton handbags Sands dance unseen in the breeze An orchestra unending The mystical allure In waters blue That moves the world Before one without a clue A pull is triggered By a message heard As the mind sits And the soul cavort Sands welcome touch Waves sing their beats The winds cajoling Into fading dreams

Change

The cause of all strife is change. Change is the result of time. Time cannot be without change. Thus there will be no life without change. This is simply due to the fact that life is an aftershadow of time. Life will definitely meet death as sure as the sun will rise. Clearly movement is inevitable. As unavoidable as change in a world where the nly constant is inconsistency. The finality of that world lies at the end of time. Time's end marks the end of fleeting change. As future, present and past melds together, chanel handbags the soul awakens. This is the final step. The destination of the mind. Predetermined, fated and achieved. The wild nature primal abates and is tamed by age. Its final form achieved. Blazing with glory, or smelting in regret.

The Winds

A Certainty

Life. Step by step moving with the gentle ticking of the intangible hands of the clockwork universe. And mankind tries to put to understanding this giant mechanism that rotates upon systems beyond his comprehension. Incapability to read the tales written within the seeming chaotic worldly journey makes man the most uncertain of creatures. What will be in tomorrow? What is written within today? replica watches What has been left in the past? All things change. All things remain the same. Deviation occurs. Tradition holds its course. And man is still unsure. Of all things, only 2 things are for certain. And one of them, is that all in this world that lives, must die.

Logic and Religion

Living in a dream in search of awakening. Finding belief after belief seeking for support to lean upon. Have you found something to believe in? Walking blind with acceptance for a shield, he defends his beliefs from unnecessary questioning. "Stop!" Shouts he. "The mind cannot possibly comprehend the unseen and immaterial. So why bother trying? The supernatural is a realm of the heart and soul. Speak you of that which you know not?" Says he. Does he then reject questions that will leave his beliefs in the murky depths of doubt? Are religious faith and reasoning like oil and water? Do they not mix? Or dare he spin the blade which I cut him with back upon me? What could possibly save me from my own questions? Could my beliefs be shattered by rationales and logic? How can that be? "Speak you of that which you know not?" Says he. Believe you in that which you know naught of? You speak of heart and soul. You speak of truths and the unseen. You speak of senses that transcend mortality. You speak in riddles that confound in order to introduce me to a world profound. I wonder. How do you think with your heart and soul when you refuse to seize knowledge under a questioning hold? "Meditate. Raise your awareness. Wisdom will come to those who seek it." Says he. Are wisdom and knowledge one and the same? How frustrating. Question after question after question after question. Why do I keep asking for that which has no answer? Simple. It is because I know there is One who holds the answer to all things. And everytime I face the unknown, chanel handbags I seek a part of His presence within it. His Truth. His Wisdom. That which is hidden. Knowledge. Only the knowledgeable will know true fear. Only the knowledgeable will know true joy. And the greatest force of belief is the one backed by knowledge and logic.

The Heart is Blind

The hearts are two hearts, a heart wandering around women's gossip and a heart wandering around the throne - Ibn Al-Qayem

Women and power. Two things that capture a man's attention and blind a man to all others. As long as he lets himself be rooted down by these things, he will live but in a dream.

Announced to be the source of much joy and satisfaction. Yet many men would tire of it. When the heart becomes consumed by these two things, the soul would begin to rot and the mind grow twisted.

Lust unbridled turns a man beastly. Power without purpose and responsibility destroys him by robbing his dignity.

Ponder for once from where your purpose and responsibility is inspired. Find thought and mind to combat feel and heart. Think friend, think. For your mind was created for good reason. Let not your emotions and greed blind you.

The Most Beautiful of Journeys

A single step begins a journey. And that journey will not end till the day you stop walking.

This is a journey fraught with discovery. The learning of good and evil; fulfilment and emptiness; Knowing and the lack thereof.

Under the All-seeing sight of Ash-Shaheed, are all our actions recorded for the Day of Judgement.

Had you remembered all your deeds good or bad, will your name flood the Sijjid or The Illyin?

Every single word uttered and each action enacted is intractable. All recorded and not a mote forgotten.

Where will you walk to and what will you step unto? What will you do and what will you become?

What are the trails you will leave behind in the wake of your walks?

The journey of a thousand leagues begins wth a single step. So we must never neglect any work of peace within our reach, however small - Adlai E. Stevenson

The most beautiful of journeys made. Do you know of it?

Mother

Mother. She is the one I can't do without. The person blessed with the gift of love, care, concern and selflessness like no other person has. The only person other than God Almighty who could possibly understand me better than anyone else.

Much is the sacrifice she's made for me in past, present and future. Lessons learnt, wisdom earned and wealth obtained all thanks to her.

What have I done in return for all her kindness?

Oh would that all the treasures of the world would be enough. Sad to say many times of that would be the gift she's given me. Far beyond is the price of my being. Of that guidance that through her I have received.

Oh the guardian of heaven's gate on earth, the holder of my heart; Blessed be your soul.

Attachment and Detachment

Attachment leads to suffering - So does the teachings of Buddhism preach. So too are most of us inclined to agree. But how true is this?

We can't possibly live alone now can we? How do we exist independently of any form of attachment?

On what ground will you stand if you separate yourself from the world? Of course, in order to transcend this world, you need to break free of this world's ties to yourself.

Suffering is an inescapable truth of being alive. Every living being suffers. Feeling that pain which seeps into their hearts from loss and sadness; from failure and incapacity.

Thus the logic should apply that without attachment that generates these emotions, one should be safe from suffering. How true is this?

A kind of peace that is achieved by detachment from your current life rooted so by your subsistences.

Can you do without riches?
Of course you can.

Can you do without fame?
Of course you can.

Can you do without God?
...

Can you exist without a Creator? How far can you remove yourself from Him? That attachment leads to suffering is a truth in itself. But can detachment solve that problem? Will removal of the self from this material and highly physical existence save you from pain?

What we speak of is an inhuman contemplation in itself. The transcendence and One-ness that Buddhism speaks of could only be achieved by shedding a part of your humanity.

Which part you ask?

The part that cares. If you care not what happens believing that the flow of the universe is inevitable and you understand that all things must come to an end, then you may achieve transcendence. When you release yourself from worldly desires and seek deeper understanding of the scriptures, then will you achieve transcendence. Seek the Way to One-ness with the universe.

As being living in this universe itself, aren't we already a part of it? Aren't we like the blood that flows within the veins of this universe that we live in? Isn't that the source of our attachment?

In what other ways can we transcend? Mentally? Spiritually? How far should we go then before we transcend?

And if the atheist Buddhist says, there is no infinitely powerful and everlasting God who determines all things and created everything around us, who decides when we've transcended enough? Is there a mark to be reached or a limit to be found is not that limit set by someone? By who?

How do you or the universe itself exist without God to create you? By cutting yourself off from attachment to all things worldly, what have you devoted yourselves to? Emptiness?

Thus you've decided to leave behind an existence filled with much gifts for an existence totally empty and meaningless? Detach yourself from all things that you may attain a kind of nothingness called Nirvana. Peace. All this can be achieved without God?

We all develop that belief that attachment leads to suffering because we grow connected to things that are temporary. The natural flow of the world eventually takes away what's been given to us. What hurts us the most is not the attachment itself; Rather, it's the loss of that which binds.

Can we truly exist without any attachment?

If we chose to direct ourselves in the path of removal, will we ever succeed?

Why not attach ourselves to a Being Eternal and All-Powerful instead?

Is it easier to believe in an existence without a Creator filled by a void compared to believing in God?

Change

The change you see
Announced to be not me
Renouncing it
Calling it an ugly piece

You hate it
Called it fake
But the truth is that
In so doing it's me you hate

Be it so bad
This change you not accept
Pushing me aside
Calling me a stranger inside

How different I become
Is not the point
What triggered your alarm
That has me disjoint

Why hate me so
When goodness is all I show
Is it goodness you despise
Or my actions to you but lies

Can you not see
Extend vision beyond your misery
For intend not I to befriend
One who accepts not who I am

Let go of the past
This change must I make to last
Till death in this way
Redemption for sins of past days

Accept me and my words
Return not to me but with kind words
I wish for you only Peace
Hoping for you guidance through your tears

Giving

In giving is there much to be received. The most important of which is peace of mind.

The material world we live in is by nature fluid and ever changing. All of it is in a constant state of motion and phasement. Money earned is then spent. Favors made later repaid. Work done rewarded.

Yet how much of our material possessions do we carry to our graves? Will that car be useful for travel when you're dead? Are cosmetics and adornments any good in that grave? Will all your money pay for your afterlife? Does our insurance extend past our point of death? Obviously much of what we use and chase after now will one day be useless when we pass on from this life into the next.

Our wordly life is much like circus tokens; only worthwhile as long as we stay in that circus. Once you leave it'll all be for naught.

Matters not how much treasures you've gathered; It will all leave someday. Hoarding it will do little good for you. There is little use in wealth unspent and treasures sealed away.

Dare you keep all the gifts of God hoarded up for yourself when you need them not?

Many are the poor in this world. But a small amount of your wealth would be enough to make them happy. Enough for a loaf of bread to silence their rumbling stomachs; of a bottle of water to quench parched throats.

Yet...You need a new handphone because your current one is out of date? Or a new dress because the old is out of fashion? New shoes simply because there's a new design out in stores?

Do we really need all these things?

Then comes the question of what you gain from giving. Would you accept it if you gain absolutely nothing in return for giving to others?

If no, why not?

Again comes the question of how much we earn that follows us to our graves. Of the material absolutely nothing.

Then again, why give it when they themselves cannot bring the material to their graves either right? All that you give will be but a material and temporary joy for them too.

If you agree to the above said statement, then perhaps you know not the true meaning of thankfulness and gratefulness.

Starve yourself for a day or two, then break your fast with a slice of bread and a cup of water. Savor each bite and sip.

When you've realized how great a blessing each bite and sip is, you'll understand. And if you remember how it feels to be deprived of those gifts, you'll understand why you need to give.

Aisha(r.a) recounted that someone had presented the gift of a lamb to the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w). He distributed the meat. Aisha(r.a) said, "Only the neck is left for us."

The Prophet(s.a.w) replied "No. All of it is left for us except the neck."

What did he mean by that? Haply it is time for us to reflect.

It is the nature of existence to move on in its cycles. If we stop the flow of things by hoarding the gifts of God to the world, we merely cause chaos with our greed and selfishness.

It is about time that we begin to give. Is it not?

Karma

Whatever good happens to you is from Allah; But whatever evil happens to you is from your (own) soul

- Al-Quran 4:79

Men say we get what we deserve. But to what degree does this truth extend?

Wallahua'llam.

People; Many people suffer. Live we in constant toil. That darkness robs us of our sight for goodness bestowed is a real danger.

Look you in times of darkness to the silver linings behind the clouds. In your distress search for the tiniest blessings in your life and be thankful for it.

Even in the worst of times God grants you His gifts. Such is the way of Allah; The Almighty; The Beneficent and Merciful.

Are you grateful?

Many are the complaints as well as improvements we wish could be made of our lives.

"Would that I was rich."

"If I only knew."

"Had I only been elsewhere."

"This cannot be happening."

"Why me?"

"If only I were dead."

"How long will this go on?"

And the list goes on. Questioning the Divine Decree and the fairness of God's choices.

Would that you saw His gifts to you.

The passing day and night, every breath that leaves you, every beat in your breast and every sight and sound you draw in.

Many are His gifts.

Yet all we see is suffering. For Man is born weak.

We make mistakes. We sin. With each step we take we taint the earth we step on. Of our own accord or by mistake. Darkening our lives with our mistakes just as how we darkened Hajjar Aswad with our constant kissing of it. How a stone white and pure as milk could turn ebony as night.

Rightly so it is that we have to pay for our mistakes. Can we say that the punishment befits not the crime? That we now suffer more than we should or deserve to?

Nay! For God is Kind and Fair. Wise. The world has He created with a harmony that runs smoother than clockwork.

Be thankful oh servant of God! Be not a pessimist or a disbeliever.

All ah gives you everything. Throw nothing. Cherish.

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so

- William Shakespeare

Seasons

Seasons. Approaching seasons. Soft scintillating motion unnoticed by the absentminded.

The world moves in its own gait. We merely tag along with it. Moving along with it slowly changing with the world that changes.

Morphing with the seasons that pass us by. Have we been so thoroughly absorbed by the seasons?

The world beckons with its beauty to the youths of our time. Calling out with the warmth of summer sunshine and the icy stars of winter flakes. Buries us in the soft comfy cushion of leaves in autumn and hypnotising blossoms of spring flowers.

As age catches up and seasons come and go, our hunger for plain beauty is replaced with something much better. Or rather, more complicated. A taste for knowledge.

We begin to question the world and the goings on within it. We start to drown in our explorations of it. In the blazing summer sun and the freezing winter chill. Amid the scents of spring blossoms and the sounds of autumn awnings.

Will we be drawn close to the calls of worldly desires? Will the seasons four follow us to our deaths?

No matter how we avoid it, the world and its seasons affect us. Lend us gait to our movements and influences us in invisible ways and tangible alike.

The question is how do we allow it to affect us? What do we read from the seasons?

"We embrace the idea- advanced by both ancient philosophers and modern physicists -that the world is one. Everything connects to everything; therefore, as we change, the world cannot but change with us. - Marianne Williamson

As we interpret and read the world and seasons in the ways we do, so does the world morph and change; reacting to our perceptions without us realising it.

Where are we leading our world; Ourselves.

The Law

The ragged space
Of mind constrained
Seals the face
In tears ingrained

Thoughts undone
Rigid points of view
Stories spun
To destroy the you

Kindness a cloak
Underneath lurks shadows
In softness spoke
Their murderous gallows

Soul-numbing lies
Greedy worldly games
Tugging invisible ties
Of man-given names

Relationships

A relationship. Ties between people be it friendship, love or heritage of blood, exists in every person's life.

Is mankind really a social species?

Were we to try and lead lone solitary lives, could we succeed?

What is this craving for companions for? Why do we have it?

Try living without speaking to a single person around you for a day. How long can you last?

O mankind! We created you from a single soul, male and female, and made you into nations and tribes, so that you may come to know one another. Truly, the most honored among you in God's sight is the greatest of you in piety. God is All-Knowing, All-Aware.

- Al-Quran (49:13)

Gives a whole new meaning to the term soulmate doesn't it?

Many among us feels the need to maintain a connection to people. Be it friendship, love, lust or the likes. No matter what form it takes, there is always a form of social interaction that needs to take place.

Could a human being scrounge out a hermetical life without reliance upon any form of relations?

Could you?

How important is a mother? Or daughter? Sister or even brother maybe? Or your father. What of friends?

We've been put in a world full of people to band with to get to know and learn from. What for?

Why do we befriend others?
Why do we love?
Why do we crave companionship?
What for?

For just a day, sit and silence yourself. Do not talk. What will it feel, to not interact? Find out for yourself.

Family

Salman told Abu Ad-Darda', "Your Lord has a right on you, your soul has a right on you, and your family has a right on you; so you should give the rights of all those who has a right on you."

Abu Ad-Darda' came to the Prophet(pbuh) and narrated the whole story. The Prophet said,"Salman has spoken the truth."

- Hadith Al-Bukhari 3.189 - Abu Juhaifa

Living as you do within a family, all you say or do will have an impact upon them be it good or ill. As much as you have the right to treat yourself as you please, so do you have to take into account their rights to care for you as they see fit.

Judge not yourself independant or alone unless your parents have left you and your siblings lost to you beyond retrieving. The ties of blood cannot be broken by time or space.

We walk this life carrying the burdens of our own existence together with the responsibility of being part of a family. Thus have we been given a greater weight. Thus too have we been given a place to turn to to lighten the load of our lonely lives. Cherish it.

Your family is truly a gift. Forget them not.
